91 Days Into Deployment.

We are on day 91 now.

 90 links - before adding today's
(we add them after the day is done).

Our pretty full sticker chart... and there's still plenty of deployment to go.

I got my replacement bouquet and have been meaning to do a blog update with photos of the new bouquet.

Aren't they so beautiful?! Possibly even more than the other bouquet.

I made cupcakes last night.

Adorable little strawberry cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting. Oh and animal print little papers.
The three different animal prints.
My sister liked them too. I'm not sure how she got cake in her face though... Not like I would push one in her face... never... ever...

We are getting close to having one hundred days down. I can't believe that. A whole hundred. Not sure if it makes me happy that it is that many, or sad because it's have felt like an eternity. And with August coming to an end, it means another month down. About 1/3 of the way through deployment.

Anyways. I'm going to grab a nap while both of my kids are down for one.

Just like our cat enjoys his!

Until another day.

12 Weeks Down!

12 weeks complete! and it brings us closer to the end.

12 weeks complete. - good for us. Just barely starting on Day 87.
12 weeks ago I said goodbye. Not knowing exactly how long it would be... only having a questionable estimate in my head... It's been 12 weeks since I last had him home with us. Since I've kissed him, held him, or anything.. as we've gone through in previous posts. 12 weeks has felt so long. And we still have quite a way to go.

I just want him to come home safe. I want him home with us as soon as possible... where I can have the comfort of knowing he's okay.

Onto more updates.
Well as you know from my earlier blog post that my husband ordered me these beautiful flowers just because. And they weren't cheap... but I loved them and the gesture. Well today I find them dying... they were in bad condition...  it looks like the daisies (I think they are) took it the hardest.

So I called the company he ordered the bouquet through. They have a satisfaction promise. And the flowers are supposed to last at least 7 days. The representative was very polite and helpful and now I have a replacement bouquet coming my way from the florist tomorrow. As much as my husband paid for them... yeah.

Poor flowers...
At least the inside of the lilies are still pretty.

Anyways. At least they are sending out a replacement bouquet. I was pretty disappointed when I found them to be in such horrible condition.

Though I did find these little green guys sprouting. That got me excited at first before noticing the rest of the bouquet.

Photos photos!
My toddler enjoying the weather out here.

Today the weather was so beautiful out. I decided to set AWS's pool and splish splash activity pool up. He was so glad! He had a blast playing in it. As you can tell... and we remembered sun block!

 Our dog Wolfe watching us.
(I call him the BEAST, because as you can tell, he's a beast... he's really a big baby, but a beast nonetheless. He's on the line while we play so he can't trample a roaming toddler.)

I've also started working out every night, and I'm going to try to stick to it. I was doing every other night... I may give myself a break sometime, but I want to get it done. I'm 3 lbs from 160, and my goal is to get smaller. It would be nice. But it's going to be work.
Before heading to my friend's place to get our work out on.

I think that about ties it up for tonight. I need to update my chain link, and I'll get a photo of it another day for another update... and the almost filled sticker chart. I've worked out and now my bed is calling (if my daughter allows me to accept it's invitation). Another day down. Another week down. Almost another month. So far away from the end it seems... but getting closer every passing day.

Day 85. - crib & flowers.

We are 85 days into deployment. Today marks it being 12 weeks since I said goodbye to my husband.

We have 85 links hanging in our hallway. And 84 stickers on our chart, and we are running out of room.

With some very frustrating days... like today.

Yesterday I received flowers that my husband ordered from me. They are so pretty. And the bouquet is filled with flowers I really really like.

I also managed to set up a crib I bought for Peyton at a yard sale this last weekend.

Managed to set it up between my sister and I. And it's a convertible one.
She seems to like it in there.
