The 40th Day.

It's the 40th day of deployment, (39 full days).
Now let me just say... I'll count deployment how I want.

Anyways. Almost 6 weeks have passed.
I can't wait for the months to fly by.

Yesterday we had a great day of outdoor play. With water.
I filled up the water table and made little "spongebombs" that I got the idea from http://countingcoconuts.blogspot.com/. AWS loved them. He really liked how they absorbed the water, the colors, and the textures of the sponges. I plan on picking up more sponges for painting and more fun.

We made our sponge toys out of sponge (packs of 2 at the 99 cent store here) and cable ties. I found the cable ties to be pretty durable and made for a secure tie of the sponge. The important thing if you use cable ties is to FILE DOWN THE END. Otherwise once you snip them, they'll be sharp and potentially harmful. I used a nail file I had. As I said, AWS was all over them.

So colorful! I have always loved sponge texture and colors, I hated using them for cleaning. They were just too pretty.

 These are for me?

"Wet!" showing his hands are all wet.
"What're you doing sissy?"

Oh how she moves! This is what she did while her big brother played.
 Isn't this umbrella pretty?
 Getting down!
OH YEAH!
Mommy sits by and take photos of the fun, while also participating & engaging.
And getting sponges plopped in her lap.

My husband's and my third year anniversary is coming up on Tuesday. Feels much longer.
Here we are, two kids and three years later...

And Peyton has her first tooth popping through!

Tooth on the right! Barely popping through.
"Sissy has a tooth mom."

First tooth. And she's a scooting machine. And starting to push up on her knees. OH man. She's going to be an early mobile child. I know my husband wishes he could see. And Austin is learning so much, every day.

Another day down.
